FOR VALENTINE’S DAY, I videotaped a three-minute reading from the most famous love song in the Bible: Christian Love Song.
Oddly, a bachelor wrote it.
Way to go, Apostle Paul.
The paraphrase is from 1 Corinthians 13 in the Causal English Bible I’ve been creating as an easy-reading paraphrase.
I’ve been thinking of doing this kind of video reading for some of the especially important chapters in the Bible. Like Genesis 1, which would probably be my next project.
There are some glitches in the Love video, and I’ll likely redo it when I get some upgraded equipment. But this was the best I could do in a crunch. (I didn’t think about doing this until last Friday, when I realized I was supposed to teach Sunday’s lesson on a love topic.)
What do you think? Should I do more of this or is it overkill?
A lighter-weight option would be to simply add an audio reading of each chapter, which is something some other versions do on Bible Gateway, which is a wonderful site for Bible study.
