MY MOM IS BLIND NOW. This is the first Mother’s Day she’s not able to see. You know that if you’ve been following me. Strokes several months ago did that to her.
I didn’t know what to give her for Mother’s Day. She’s not supposed to have much candy. And she can’t see the flowers anymore.
Happy Mother’s Day
So I sent her the audio file I’m sharing with you today, below.
I’ve never done this before. For her. Or for you.
But I think there might be Moms out there who need to hear it, too.
When you push the button
What you’ll find if you open the file (if it works correctly) is a collection of Bible passages I paraphrased from the Casual English Bible® that I’ve been working on.
I wanted her to hear some of the encouraging Bible words the way I hear them and feel them.
I’m sharing this with you, to share with Moms you know who are going through tough times.
May you hear your own children speaking
And when other Moms out there hear me, her oldest child, talking to Mom, may they experience memories of their children saying similar things to them.
There are references to my two brothers and two sisters. Little sis Louise is taking good care of Mom in her home. Little sis Pam isn’t far away, and visits and helps often. Cliff and Darb died six months apart two years ago. Cliff of COVID. Darb of a heart attack.
Then came the strokes. One, two, three.
Here are the Bible passage in response.
