DOES THIS TWO-AND-A-HALF-MINUTE PSALM sound like it was written by a sheepherder 3,000 years ago?

Or does it sound like it was written as an op-ed feature at 1:30 a.m. today, when this blog article was written?

I had to paraphrase this song, Psalm 12, into casual English for the Casual English Bible, and it knocked me back on my heels.

Sometimes, studying the Bible does that to me.

I’ve been releasing occasional video readings of selected Bible chapters. This is one I couldn’t skip.
