NEW BIBLE MAP. Philistine and Israelite armies line up on opposite sides of the Valley of Elah, along the border of both nations. Goliath, champion warrior of the Philistines, steps up to challenge any Israelite willing to fight him to the death, winner take all. The only willing Israelite is David, a shepherd armed with just a slingshot and some rocks. The story appears in 1 Samuel 17.
I’M CREATING 3D-STYLE BIBLE MAPS for stories in The Causal English Bible’s paraphrase of 1 Samuel…stories about the prophet Samuel, Israel’s first king, Saul, and about the young Goliath-killer, David.
I finished paraphrasing the book, which hasn’t been proofread yet. (We’re still having the New Testament proofread so we can print that edition.) And before moving on to paraphrase 2 Samuel, I’m pausing to create those 3D-style Bible maps of the stories. It’s a fun change of pace.
Here are some of the newest maps.
