PARDON ME for taking Monday off to enjoy Labor Day with my family.
The families of my daughter and son came over to help my wife and I enjoy some trout that my son and I caught on a church fly-fishing retreat about a week ago. My son-in-laws parents came, too.
The fish was wonderful.
But nothing beats getting together with the family, if we’re lucky enough to have a family we want to get together with.
Which I have.
It was a day to obey what King Solomon is said to have written.
“People should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God” (Ecclesiastes 3:13 NLT).
It was not a day to write a blog article.
Back at you on Thursday.

Grandkids are the best gift God can give us. I don’t remember getting this much joy from my own children. Great grand kids are awesome too it’s just that they live to far away to see them to often.
